Goals for Blanchard Court Bags:
Our goal is simple. We want to help the people in Berlin and the surrounding cantons rebuild their infrastructure while earning a fair wage for their efforts. In support of this, Mike and Lisa do not take a salary for their work. This allows the majority of profits generated by the sales of Blanchard Court Bags to be sent back to El Salvador in support of two areas:

Education: In El Salvador education is provided through high school, if you live in a town that has a high school. If you live in a canton, you will need to walk anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours to get to high school. For that reason alone, many students are unable to continue their education beyond 8th grade. Additionally, supplies and books can cost $150.00 or more per school year, a fee most families cannot afford. With financial aid covering the supplies fee, more parents send their children to live with relatives and friends living close to a high school so that their children can attend. Our hope is that with more children completing high school, college will be seen as a viable option.
